OS: Win 10 Mobile Version 1709 Build ten.0.15254.401
Step tried and so far: Several Soft Resets, Hard reset, Uninstall/Reinstall WhatsApp, verified that Camera permissions for the app were On, Uninstalled Sype (I was trying to eliminate possible conflict with two like apps)

It is possible that your concern is caused by other apps that are running in the background. Please leave your apps that are running in the background and make a video telephone call again.

Hello once again. I have tried the WDRT with no success...the software failed to install - possibly because the version on the phone and on the server are the same? The problem has not resolved - I also note that when attempting to admission the Camera using FB Messenger (Beta), the camera flickers...if using normal Messenger, accessing the camera simply crashes the program.

Hi,
I have the same issue on an Alcatel Idol iv Pro (it'southward the 4S for Europe).
The result is as you describe, black screen instead of video and if united nations click EndCall information technology does not finish the telephone call, only after a few minutes.
Only that information technology does that when calling an whatsapp user on Android, if I phone call a user on a Windows x Mobile, video phone call works ok.
My guess it has something to exercise with WhatsApp video encoding or something.
I will contact whatsapp to meet what they say. I'll use Skype for at present, which is good, only that not all people use information technology...
But beware WhatsApp is a Facebook company and in their disclaimer they say that they will share your data to Faebook for "marketing purposes".
I may just as well quit using WhatsApp messenger because of this.
If you have any updates nigh this please permit me know too, I will do the aforementioned.
This is the only thread I found well-nigh this issue, only few of us on Win10Mobile. I dearest the Bone, hope I can still use it.

Exactly same issue and information technology's not only WhatsApp, aforementioned problem is with IMO and other video calling apps. Looks like MS and Alcatel both forgot this device right after laun.
